Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach is pleased to announce the success of its Inaugural 5K Glow Run that benefited its Counseling Program. More than 275 runners and walkers registered for the first annual 5K event that was held at Mirasol Park in Palm Beach Gardens.  Attendees “got their glow on” by adorning neon race shirts and glow items such as necklaces, bracelets, glasses, and tutus!  Multiple sponsors were present at the event and participated in hands-on activities such as face painting for the children and adults! The event included a raffle with items donated from local sponsors and businesses.  More than $12,000 was raised to benefit the Counseling Program in Palm Beach and Martin counties.

Many local businesses contributed in-kind items to the event including: Costco Wholesale of Palm Beach Gardens; Trader Joe's of Palm Beach Gardens; Roger Dean Stadium; Paddy Mac's Restaurant; Lighthouse Cover Adventure Golf; Title Boxing Club Jupiter; Orange Theory Fitness of Palm Beach Gardens; and Garden of Life.  The event was supported by the following sponsors:  SandyPines; Martin Health System; Big Apple Pizza of North Palm Beach; and Transformations Treatment Center.

The 5K Glow Run promoted mental and physical health while raising funds to help support the counseling program. The Counseling Program provides professional counseling and therapy for adults, children, families, and couples. The team of therapists addresses issues such as marital/relationship discord, child and family dynamics, depression, loneliness, grief and loss, anxiety, stressful relationships, child and adolescent problems and other life stressors. In an effort to better serve the community, bilingual counselors are available at various locations and in an effort to serve all clients, including those with financial hardship, the counseling program offers its services to clients on a sliding scale based on their household income.  The program is also a network provider for select insurance carriers.

For more information about the Counseling Program, please call 844-848-6777.
