Life Force - Youth Dedicated to Respect Life
Life Force is a teen ministry in which the youth of our Church stand up for life. As a program under Catholic Charities’ Respect Life Ministry, Life Force is dedicated to promoting respect for life through organized events and programs throughout the diocese.
Life Force was organized in 2011 and held its inaugural event called “Celebrate a Day of Life” which promoted the pro-life message. This event was held in October on Respect Life Weekend at the Cathedral of Saint Ignatius Loyola and was attended by more than 300 youth. The youth joined other faithful in prayer, Mass and a concert by recording artist Tony Melendez. The event was so successful and well received that the day of prayer and Mass are held annually on the first weekend of October on Respect Life Weekend.
The youth involved in this ministry are dedicated to respecting life and make it their mission to live out these words spoken by Pope John Paul II:“We will stand up for life whenever it is threatened and this is the mission and duty of the universal Church to defend the defenseless.”

Three such prayerful gatherings are held the first Saturday of the month at clinics located in: West Palm Beach at 9:00 a.m. at the Presidential Women’s Center (abortion clinic) located behind the Wendy’s on 45th Street.
There is also an annual Rosary service conducted each January on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling by the United States Supreme Court to legalize abortion in this country. This gathering takes place in front of the old courthouse in downtown West Palm Beach.
